One Vision Productions holds regular school holiday workshops in audio production, DJing, songwriting and lots more!

Workshops will be promoted one month prior to the coming school holidays.

School Holiday Workshops

July 2018 School Holiday Workshop

Do you want to learn to be an amazing DJ?

This course is designed to get you behind the decks and learn what it takes to be a professional DJ. You’ll have your hands on some of the latest Pioneer DJ controller to practice from the first session.

What you will learn –

  • Beat matching
  • EQ, mixing techniques
  • DJ software and DJ controllers
  • Song structure
  • Beat juggling and loops
  • Preparing your music
  • Marketing and branding

Ages 10 plus. NDIS participants welcome (please call to discuss).

About your tutor

Leonardo Chain aka LeOCh has over 18 years experience as a professional DJ, having residencies in some of the best nightclubs in Australia and having played at many international and local music festivals.

What to bring

Just yourself! We have DJ decks and equipment. Optional to bring a USB or laptop with your own music.

Please note, from Thursday 5 July our office will be unattended. All bookings from this date should arrive for the workshop at 4/10 Wollongbar Street Byron Bay at 12.45pm on the 9th July with your receipt from online booking. We can also accept cash on the day if necessary.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to write and perform your own songs?

Songwriting is an awesome way to express yourself and it’s a skill that can be learnt by anyone. This is a highly creative and practical series of music workshops for songwriters and music students of all genres and abilities.

In this course you will learn new skills in Lyric Writing, Song Structure, Melody, Music Arrangement, Performance, Collaboration and, most importantly, how to find YOUR unique voice.

  • Rehearsals
  • Performance.

About your tutor

Sam Buckingham – after co-producing her Australian Music Prize long-listed album “I’m A Bird” with multiple ARIA winner Paul McKercher, Buckingham traveled to Latin America to pen songs for her latest independent release “The Water”. 
 
Described as “winsome songs delivered with empathic delicacy” by Rolling Stone magazine, Buckingham has been gracing stages with it’s offerings both at home and in the USA, playing sell out shows in intimate venues and regional theatres country-wide, touring alongside the likes of Kasey Chambers, Katie Noonan and James Reyne. 
 
Buckingham has been a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition five times, and was also a finalist in the inaugural Americana Music Prize of Australia.
